4. Uses
Detects the belt speed and provides a speed signal to the weighing instrument.
5. Working Principle
The speed roller drives the rotating shaft of the speed sensor, which drives
the signal generator inside the speed sensor to output the speed signal.
6. Inspection and installation
6.1. Inspection
Before opening the package, the outer package should be checked for
extrusion, breakage and rain. After opening the package, you should check
whether the products are complete and undamaged according to the packing
list.
6.2. Installation
6.2.1. Read this manual carefully before installation.

6.2.2. The installation method is as follows:
As shown in Figure 3, connect the rotating shaft of the speed sensor and
the selected redirection roller into a single unit with a connecting sleeve,
connect the anti-rotation arm to the speed sensor with a bolt, according to the
site conditions, weld a support plate at a suitable position on the conveyor
frame, and put the anti-rotation arm on it, and then connect the support plate
and the anti-rotation arm into a single unit with a spring, and connect it in a way
to make the spring in the mildly stressed state.
6.2.3. The following points should be noted when installing the speed sensor:
6.2.3.1. Do not install on drive rollers;
6.2.3.2.Select the appropriate diameter of the redirecting roller so that the
speed of the redirecting roller is within the detection range of the speed
sensor.;
6.2.3.3. If mounted on a redirecting pulley, the pulley contacts the belt at a
bread angle of at least 30 degrees (see Figure 3);
7. Maintenance
The sealing of the speed sensor should be checked periodically. Ensure
that dust and water cannot enter the inside of the speed sensor. If there is any
damage to the parts, please contact our company and we guarantee that we
will provide you with considerate and satisfactory service.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Check the connection between the shaft and the drum to see if they are
connected reliably.;
8.2. Check that the wires are connected correctly and that the screws are not
tightened;
8.3. Check inside the speed sensor to see if the signal generator is working
properly;
8.4. If the fault remains after the above checking and processing, there may
be a problem with the peripheral circuits.;
8.5. Apart from replacing the spare parts mentioned below, SAIMO advises
against attempting to remove modifications on your own, unauthorized repairs
during the warranty period will invalidate the warranty.
