6.Working Principle
The speed sensor is coupled with the belt-driven redirection pulley (or roller) [this redirection pulley (or roller) can react to the actual speed of the belt conveyor], the redirection pulley (or roller) drives the speed sensor's rotating shaft, and the rotating shaft drives the speed sensor's internal signal generator, which outputs the speed signal.
7.Inspection and installation
7.1Inspection
Before opening the package, the outer package should be checked for extrusion, breakage and rain. After opening the package, you should check whether the products are complete and undamaged according to the packing list
7.2Installation
7.2.1Read this manual carefully before installation 
7.2.2 When measuring speed with a redirecting drum, there are two installation methods as follows:
7.2.2.1 Installation method one:
As shown in Figure 4, the rotating shaft of the speed sensor and the selected redirection roller are connected into a single unit with a connecting sleeve, and the anti-rotation arm is connected to the speed sensor with a bolt. According to the site conditions, a support plate is welded on the conveyor frame at a suitable position, and the anti-rotation arm is rested on it, and then the spring is used to connect the support plate and the anti-rotation arm into a single unit, which should be connected so that the spring is in the mildly stressed state.
7.2.2.2 Installation method two:
As shown in Figure 5, the rotating shaft of the speed sensor is connected to the redirecting drum as an integrated unit with a flexible coupling, and then the speed sensor and the conveyor frame are connected as an integrated unit through a bracket, and when installing, try to make the rotating shaft concentric with the redirecting drum as much as possible.
7.2.3When roller speed measurement is used, the installation method is described as follows:
As shown in Figure 6, assemble the speed sensor with the roller, swing arm, seated bearing and bracket, and then use J-bolts to connect it to the conveyor frame. When installing, the roller should be directly above the return roller (or carrier roller).
7.2.4The following points should be noted when installing the speed sensor:
7.2.4.1Do not install on drive rollers;
7.2.4.2If you choose to use reversing pulley speed measurement, the contact angle between the pulley and the belt should be at least 30 degrees.(see chart4);
8.Maintenance
The sealing of the speed sensor should be checked periodically. Ensure that dust and water cannot enter the inside of the speed sensor. If there is any damage to the parts, please contact our company to ensure that we will provide you with thoughtful and satisfactory service!.
9.Troubleshooting
9.1 Check the connection between the spindle and the roller (or roller) to see if they are connected reliably.;
9.2 Check that the wire connections are correct and that the screws are tight;
9.3 Check inside the speed sensor to see if the signal generator is working properly;
9.4 If the fault remains after the above checking and processing, there may be a problem with the peripheral circuit;
9.5 It is recommended that you do not attempt to remove the modifications yourself except to replace the spare parts mentioned below, unauthorized repairs during the warranty period will void the warranty.
